Not all junk removal is created equal. Hauling a few boxes is very different from extracting a 500-pound hot tub from a backyard patio or maneuvering a 700-pound grand piano down a staircase. Here is how JunkStopper handles the heaviest and most complex removal jobs in Las Vegas.
The Equipment We Use
Furniture dollies — for heavy appliances and dressers
Appliance dollies — for refrigerators, washers, and water heaters
Piano skids and piano dollies — for upright and grand pianos
Moving straps and harnesses — for two-person carries on heavy items
Floor protection runners — for hardwood, tile, and carpeted surfaces
Corner guards — for tight doorways and hallways
Ratchet straps — for securing loads in the truck
Hot Tub Removal
Hot tubs are drained, disconnected from power (by your electrician ahead of time), and then cut into sections with a reciprocating saw if they cannot be moved in one piece through the available access point. Sections are carried out and loaded to the truck. This is the standard process for the vast majority of Las Vegas hot tub removals.
Piano Removal
Upright pianos are moved on piano dollies with the legs removed when necessary. Grand pianos are fully disassembled — legs, pedal lyre, lid, and music desk removed — before the body is moved on a piano skid. We take our time and do it right.
Pool Table Removal
Pool table slate beds weigh 150 to 250 pounds per section. We disassemble the slate into manageable sections, carry each section out with two people, and haul all components including the frame, rails, and felt.
