How JunkStopper Selects Donation Centers in Las Vegas — Our Vetting Process

When JunkStopper says we donate before we dispose, we mean it specifically — not just that items end up at any thrift store, but that we have relationships with Las Vegas organizations we trust to use donated items effectively. Here is how we vet and select our donation partners.

Primary Donation Partners

Our primary donation partners for furniture and household goods are Habitat for Humanity ReStore (Las Vegas and Henderson locations), Goodwill Industries of Southern Nevada, and Salvation Army of Southern Nevada. These organizations have established infrastructure, accepted donation standards, and proven track records of connecting donated goods with people who need them.

Specialty Donation Partners

For specific categories, we route to specialized organizations when available: baby gear and children's items to family shelters and pediatric programs, books to library programs and school organizations, clothing to community clothing programs, and electronics to certified e-waste programs.

What We Do Not Do

We do not route items to organizations that resell everything for profit without directing proceeds to charitable programs. We do not donate recalled, unsafe, or biohazardous items. We do not donate items in condition that would waste an organization's processing resources.

When You Have a Preferred Recipient

If you want your specific items donated to a specific organization — a church you attended, a school program you support, a shelter your family contributed to — tell us when you book. We will do our best to honor that preference and confirm where items were delivered.
