Ten minutes of preparation before JunkStopper arrives can make the difference between a smooth, efficient job and one that takes longer than expected. Here is exactly what to do — most of it takes under a minute per task.

1. Walk Through and Confirm Your Removal List (3 minutes)

Walk through every area being cleared and confirm in your mind what is going and what is staying. If you are unsure about specific items, put them in a "maybe" pile in one location so they can be decided during the crew walkthrough.

2. Clear a Path (2 minutes)

Move loose items, rugs, and tripping hazards off the walking path from the removal items to the exit. You do not need to move furniture — just create a clear walking lane for the crew.

3. Note Access Information (1 minute)

Have gate codes, entry codes, or parking instructions ready to share with the crew when they arrive. If there are any access complications, note them to mention at the start of the job.

4. Separate Hazardous Materials (2 minutes)

Move any chemicals, paints, or hazardous items away from the removal zone. Place them somewhere clearly separate so the crew knows not to include them.

5. Secure Valuables (1 minute)

Move jewelry, documents, cash, and high-value items to a room or location that is not part of the removal. Tell the crew which rooms are off-limits if applicable.

6. Be Ready at the Start of Your Window

Have your phone available during the arrival window. We call 30 minutes before arrival. Being immediately reachable saves time and keeps the job on schedule.
